Negotiation Role Play Exercise
This is a 60-minute interactive negotiation game designed to help participants experience the dynamics of real-time negotiation in a fast-paced and engaging format. The session follows a learn–practice–reflect approach, where participants are briefly introduced to key negotiation principles such as understanding interests, communication, and influencing techniques. This sets the foundation for effective participation in the role play.
Participants will then engage in a structured role play scenario, simulating real-world negotiation situations created by Anuj Jagannathan. The game encourages quick thinking, adaptability, and strategic decision-making while interacting with others. The session is highly engaging, with active participation, followed by guided reflection and debrief to help participants understand their approach, strengths, and areas of improvement. By the end of the session, participants will gain practical insights into negotiation behavior, learn simple yet powerful techniques, and build confidence to handle conversations with greater impact.
